AUDITIONS!
We are seeking singers in grades 4-6 in the 2026-2027 school year to be a part of the Lexington Children's Chorus
Please note: you do NOT have to be a Lexington resident to participate in LCC.
LCC is open to students from Lexington and surrounding towns and has included singers from Arlington, Bedford, Belmont, Burlington, Framingham, Newton, Sudbury, Waltham, Winchester, Woburn and Wellesley.

If, after reading through the Family & Program Guide, you are interested in scheduling an audition, please fill out this AUDITION FORM.
STEP #3:
Look for an email from us to schedule your audition day/time.
STEP #4:
In the meantime, please begin to prepare for your upcoming audition (please see below)

WHAT TO PREPARE FOR YOUR AUDITION:
Your 10 minute audition will include:
Meet and sing with the Artistic Director in a relaxed, supportive setting.
Participate in simple vocal exercises to explore their singing voice.
Match pitch through simple echo-singing activities.
Singing of My Country 'Tis of Thee. Please prepare this ahead of time. This does NOT need to be memorized and a piano accompaniment track will be provided (see below)
To help your child prepare for this audition, please use the preparation files linked below:
"My Country 'Tis of Thee" - sheet music with lyrics (this does NOT need to be memorized! A copy will be provided at the audition)
"My Country 'Tis of Thee" - Piano Accompaniment (this is the accompaniment your child will sing with for the audition)

Focus and attentiveness
A willingness to learn
A commitment to making chorus a priority
Following the auditions, families will be notified of their child's placement. Accepted singers will then complete registration for the upcoming season.
